Any club that opts to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would "not care about value for money", according to Liverpool's outgoing director of research Ian Graham.
Kane's contract expires at the end of next season. With that in mind, this could be the last summer in which Spurs could get big money for England's all-time record goalscorer.
The 29-year-old is wanted by Manchester United and a move to Old Trafford could help him become the Premier League's record goalscorer. After 30 more goals this season, Kane (213) is currently second in the all-time standings behind Alan Shearer (260).
However, he is also interesting Real Madrid, who have just agreed a deal to sign one-time Liverpool target Jude Bellingham. Madrid are looking for a new forward after the legendary Karim Benzema left to join Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad.

Dr Graham, who announced last November that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season after more than a decade of service, was asked at the Cheltenham Science Festival what club may sign the England captain.
The Guardian report that Graham said that, despite Kane’s incredible record, it would be “a club that doesn’t care about value for money”. Adding: “He’s 29. It’s going to be a high transfer fee for three years of performance that might start declining.
“From a data point of view, it’s magnificent the way Alex Ferguson constructed a team that was ageing just as he left [Manchester United]. It really did cement his legacy.”
Dr Graham also stated at the festival that Kylian Mbappe was the best player in Europe, according to statistical models, but that the Paris Saint-Germain superstar was "unfortunately, financially, out of Liverpool’s league."
