Frost is impending, and it can feel like a mad rush for us gardeners to get everything prepared before it arrives. While you may have been focusing your attention on overwintering plants, you may have forgotten about something incredibly important: wildlife. Things like bird baths continue to be a vital resource during fall and winter, but frost can freeze them over and make them unusable. Luckily, I've just spotted a bird bath fountain pump on Wayfair that will keep any bird bath from freezing for minimal effort – and it's currently on sale for just $29.99.
If you're keen to make your yard wildlife-friendly before frost, installing a bird bath pump is a quick and easy way to do it. It will help garden birds in winter by keeping the water moving, stopping it from freezing over. What I particularly love about this Wayfair solar bird bath fountain pump is the fact that it's solar-powered. No charging needed, you can just set it up and let it look after itself.
