Manchester United loanee Alex Telles labelled his parent club's exit from the Europa League as a 'beautiful night.'
United's hopes of European glory were destroyed on Thursday night as they crashed out of the Europa League with one of their worst performances of the season, losing 3-0 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate. Erik ten Hag's side at one point led the tie 2-0 but collapsed in spectacular fashion to throw it all away.
Harry Maguire lost possession on the edge of his own box early on to gift an opening goal and United never recovered. Two David de Gea blunders in the second half optimised a dreadful display and now the side will have to pick themselves up ahead of a difficult FA Cup semi-final with Brighton on Sunday.

There was one United player who enjoyed a good night, though, as left-back Telles is spending the season on loan at the La Liga side. With no rules against loanees playing against their parent clubs in European competition, the Brazilian was brought on for the final five minutes to help see out the game.
Taking to Instagram after the match, Telles reacted to yet another famous Sevilla win over United by writing: "Beautiful night! We are in the next phase. Congratulations to all and thank you very much fans. Let's go together until the end."
It was a bitterly disappointing night for United and Ten Hag bemoaned his side's lack of composure. "A disappointing performance. It was not good enough," he said.
"We have to do better. No composure on the ball and we made the wrong decisions to quickly concede the goal and we never came into the game. We changed [things] but, straight after half-time, [we conceded] another goal which was avoidable. It can't happen at our level."
