When it comes to skincare there are so many different things on the market that it can be hard to know where to start. Personally my day to day skincare routine involves two tools and at least eight products, but I decided to put it to the test whether I needed this many or if I'd be better off with something more simple.
Nip+Fab has quickly become one of my favourite skincare brands, alongside Hada Labo and Foreo, and it turns out you can take a test to find out which products are best for your skin from their entire range. It takes into consideration your age, skin type and what it is that you want to target before coming out with a full set.
When I took the quiz it recommended me the Hyaluronic Acid Fix Hydrating Regime Kit for Dry, Sensitive Skin. With just four products this was a massive change from my everyday routine, but I decided to try it out and see how my skin liked it.
The set is quite simple, with a cleansing cream, micellar pads, a concentrate and a hydrating cream. It's quite a few steps less than I'm used to but I gave it a shot - I did add on the eye patches from the range as I have very sensitive eyes and I couldn't stomach the thought of going a full seven days without any eye cream.
I also added in the Purify SPF from the range as I live in London which has a fair amount of pollution - it's also a skincare must to wear SPF every single day on face, neck and hands.
The cleansing cream was lovely on my skin, I typically use Foreo's Micro-Foam cleanser which retails at £39.90 however I liked this one just as much. Typically costing just £12.95 for a bigger package this is a bargain and I will definitely be reaching for it time and time again in the future.
The next step was micellar pads to do a double cleanse, this is a step I wouldn't normally do. Typically I only use micellar to remove makeup and if I'm doing a double cleanse I would either use micellar water first or a cleansing balm. I did find the pads convenient and easy to use, I would just probably use them in a different order in my day to day routine.
I absolutely loved step three, a concentrate that felt a lot like a serum. I wouldn't be without this, it was an instant hit of hydration and I love how it made my skin feel. It's a must have in my skincare routine.
I found the gel cream to feel lovely on my skin and it did hydrate it really well, while I would normally use a different cream for morning and night I found it convenient to just use the one. This is especially handy if I'm travelling.
In place of eye cream I used the eye patches, they're incredible. While I didn't notice a significant difference to wrinkles I did enjoy it, even though I'll be sticking to eye creams from now on. My eyes felt energised and it was a nice pampering step that made my routine feel that little bit more luxurious.
In the morning I rounded off with SPF, there is a great range of different ones at Nip + Fab but I opted for the anti-pollution one as I live in a big city with a lot of pollution. It didn't irritate my skin, pill or leave a white film on my face which can be rare for an SPF.
Overall I was really impressed with the Nip + Fab range, while I will definitely be bringing back some additional steps to my everyday routine I will definitely be including these products in my routine. I think my skin could've definitely benefited from less shine as the finish was on the oily side, but I definitely didn't have any issues with dryness as I flagged in the quiz.
