A 3000-year-old pine intact but ancient trees scorched

A 3000-year-old Huon pine and several stands of other ancient trees have narrowly avoided damage in bushfires on Tasmania's west coast, aerial assessments by authorities show.

But wilderness photographer Rob Blakers released pictures showing a "significant enclave" of Huon pines were scorched at lower Harman River.
