Tyler Sanders died from the effects of fentanyl, his autopsy has revealed.
The Hollywood star, 18, who is best known for his role in 911: Lone Star with Rob Lowe and Fear the Walking Dead was found at his Los Angeles home back in June, with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner noting that his death was accidental.
In the report, obtained by TMZ, the Medical Examiner said that Tyler sent a text message to a friend the night before his death, telling them that he was using fentanyl.
The report also stated that the young actor did not answer phone calls from his friend after sending the message about his drug use.
The coroner also stated that Tyler had no known medical problems, however, it stated that the Hollywood star did have a history of drug use, including heroin, cocaine, LSD, mushrooms and Xanax.
Police discovered a plastic straw and white powder in the room where he died, the report stated.
At the time of his death, Tyler's representative, Pedro Tapia, told the TMZ that the cause of death will be investigated.
Pedro added that Tyler was a "good kid who came from a good family."
Tyler had an Emmy nomination for role on Amazon series, Just Add Magic: Mystery City after he had started acting professionally aged 10.
His first role was playing himself in the 2015 show JLW Academy before he landed the role of Young Jake Otto in Fear The Walking Dead.
The role of Siggy in TV movie What About Barb? followed before he played Logan Hawke in 2018 TV series The Rookie, alongside Rob Lowe.
The following year he played Leo in Just Add Magic before landing a bigger role as the same character in the 2020 spinoff Just Add Magic: Mystery City.
Tyler played Brian in 911: Lone Star this year and has a film, The Price We Pay, in post production waiting release later in 2022.
In his final Instagram posts, Tyler showed his followers that he was enjoying time with his family.
Five days before his death, he posted a snap of himself modelling a blue suit as a he posed on wooden decking in Vail, Colorado. He captioned the pic: "Styling".
Tyler was there with family for white water rafting, of which he shared a few snaps of them.
He wrote alongside the photos: "Here's a quick before and after of my family white water rafting."
