'90s party cruise' coming to the River Mersey

A night of 90s nostalgia is coming to the River Mersey this month.

People will be able to sail along the river and dance the night away to the sounds of Britney, Spice Girls, Take That, NSYNC and more. A DJ will play all the classics from the era during the 90s Party Cruise, being run by Mersey Ferries.

A fully licensed bar will be open throughout the evening serving food and drinks. Tickets are £20 and can be purchased here. Mersey Ferries has a line up of fun cruises this summer, including a Grease and Dirty Dancing Tribute Cruise, which takes place tonight, with tickets still available here.

You can also take a Liverpool Bay Cruise, which is a three hour sightseeing journey, where passengers can experience the beautiful scenery while learning about the history and geography of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay. The cruise allows you to take in Antony Gormley’s Another Place ‘iron men’ installation on Crosby Beach from the water, and passengers will get panoramic views of the river.

There will be live music on board by local group The Shanty Kings. Tickets are £20 and can be purchased here. The Liverpool Bay Cruises run on June 11, 12 and 25. They depart from 10.15am and 2.15pm from Woodside and 10.25am and 2.25pm from Liverpool Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal.
