Some major new IPs from giants like Disney and Pixar did badly at the box office in the past couple of years, but Zootopia 2 has been huge and the phenomenal success of KPop Demon Hunters – Netflix's most-streamed show ever – has shown a strong appetite for animation, including among adult audiences.
