WASHINGTON — The nine-member select congressional committee created in July to investigate last year's Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol has interviewed hundreds of witnesses and issued dozens of subpoenas.
Led by Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and Vice Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., the committee inched even deeper into Donald Trump's inner circle as it seeks to determine what role the former commander in chief played in the deadly insurrection.
The panel requested information on Jan. 20 from his daughter, Ivanka, who served as an adviser during the Trump administration.
