Almost nine out of every ten Irish parents will spend more time bargain hunting for deals this year ahead of their kids going back to school.
More than half are budgeting to spend at least €500 on items for their kids going back to school or college, while two thirds are worried about having the right amount set aside for things their children may need throughout the academic year.
It's another factor for people who are already struggling to keep up with the cost of living crisis.
While some supports are available to parents of schoolchildren, not every mother or father meet the requirements.
And new data released this morning has now explained that shopping around will be key for a lot of parents
