We all love a good feel-good story. But every now and then, a viral moment gets huge praise for all the wrong reasons.
Take the eight-year-old kid who sold handmade keychains just to pay off his classmates’ school lunch debt. Or the fast-food employee who got praised online for running an entire restaurant alone during a chaotic twelve-hour shift.
On the surface, these sound like incredible acts of kindness and hard work. But think about it. Why is a young child left to crowdfund basic meals for hungry students? And since when did corporate understaffing become an inspiring success story instead of blatant exploitation?
