In what appears to be a promising year ahead, the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is set to showcase a lineup of renowned filmmakers and highly anticipated films. The festival will feature iconic directors such as Francis Ford Coppola presenting 'Megalopolis' starring Adam Driver, George Miller with 'Furiosa' starring Anya Taylor-Joy, and a special tribute to George Lucas with an honorary Palme d'Or. Additionally, Kevin Costner will debut the first installment of his Western epic 'Horizon, an American Saga.'
While Hollywood's presence may be somewhat subdued due to factors like last year's industry strikes and economic challenges, the red carpet will still be adorned with glamour and star power. Greta Gerwig, director of 'Barbie,' will lead the jury for this year's festival.
