Durga Puja celebrations have begun. Such a rich heritage and tradition beautifully unite every citizen of the country as a celebration. A symbol of the victory of good over evil, it pays tribute to Goddess Durga. The festival depicts how the Goddess gains victory over the demon king Mahishasura, where evil forces are killed and righteousness is empowered. This festival is observed for approximately five days, starting from Shashthi and culminating on Vijaya Dashami, when idols of Goddess Durga are immersed in water bodies as a symbolic farewell.
