About seven in 10 rural voters say temporary or seasonal agricultural workers are important to their local economies, even as rural Americans remain divided over President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, according to a new AP-KFF poll.
A similar share said immigrants who are legally in the United States are "very" or "somewhat" important to their local economies. Rural voters connected to farming and agriculture were particularly likely to describe temporary or seasonal workers as "very important."
