Next week's episodes of ITV soap Emmerdale will feature a number of upsetting storylines including a kidnapping and a violent attack.
Leyla Harding and Suzy Merton will both be in grave danger at the hands of taunting past villain and drug dealer Callum. After trying to get him locked up and tarnishing his reputation with other criminals, he retaliates.
Meanwhile, Cathy Hope continues to struggle. She begins lashing out, causing her friends and family to worry when she puts her life in danger.

Victoria Sugden is also going through a difficult time after a night out triggers some painful memories. And Charles Anderson comes up with a plan to get rid of his daughter's new boyfriend.

Leyla fears for Jacob and gets kidnapped
After trying to bring down drug dealer Callum, Leyla is faced with serious consequences. In retaliation, the criminal threatens to harm her biological son Jacob who grew up with Leyla's sister Alicia.
The family is sick with worry when they struggle to get a hold of him and decide to send him to live with Eric as a precaution for a while. Leyla receives threatening texts from Callum so she arranges to meet with him, hoping to pay him off.
However, Callum has far more sinister plans and kidnaps her.
Suzy's life is in danger
Also keen to see Callum go down, Suzy tells his criminal associates that he is a grass. Not pleased someone was trying to tarnish his reputation, Callum attacks Suzy with a brick outside the Take A Vow office.
When she wakes up in hospital, Suzy learns Callum is still at large due to his mum providing a false alibi. This means he cannot be connected to the attack and she fears he might return to actually kill her.

More problems for Marshall
After being disowned by his dad Colin, Marshall is taken in by Arthur and his family. While he is grateful for the support, he's keen to return to Hotten Academy after his dad withdrew him to keep him away from Arthur.
The school tells Marshall he can only come back if he gets parental permission. Colin eventually agrees to his return but Laurel and Jai suspect it's only to keep his abuse of Marshall quiet.
Discussing the future, Jai warns Laurel that looking after Marshall could have a negative impact on their family. The couple is unaware that a devastated Marshall is eavesdropping on the staircase.
Meanwhile, his dad appears to have a change of heart and bombards him with texts, apologising for his homophobic behaviour. He hopes Marshall will give him another chance but are Colin's intention pure?
Charles' plan to get rid of Alex
Vicar Charles Anderson continues to be unhappy about his daughter's choice of boyfriend. Despite Manpreet advising him to just let it fizzle out naturally, he continues to intervene.
In his latest bid to get rid of him, he encourages the ex convict to apply for a job in Wales and when the application is successful, he urges Alex to go for it.
Cathy struggles
Cathy continues to have a hard time. Unhappy that she is chaperoned during an evening out with friends, she retaliates by drinking and behaving recklessly.
When her actions put her life in danger, her dad Bob realises his daughter needs help.
Victoria suffers panic attack during night out
A night out with friends brings back traumatic memories for Victoria. In 2019, she was raped by evil Lee Posner and has since tried her hardest to heal.
However, Victoria suffers a major setback as she has flashbacks from the attack and subsequently has a panic attack.
Worry continues for Paddy
Since he has decided to attend therapy, friends and family have been keeping a close eye on Paddy. Marlon is happy when Paddy wants to join him for a walk and Jimmy opens up during the village's latest man club gathering.
