A 66-year-old woman living in Fort Pierce has been identified as a victim of Hurricane Milton, according to her daughter. Deborah Kennedy, who recently moved to Florida from New York in March, was residing in Spanish Lakes when the tragic event occurred.

Her daughter, Brandi Smith, shared that she was informed by a Florida official about her mother's passing due to the storm. In a heartfelt tribute, Smith described Kennedy as an 'amazing mother and grandmother' and expressed the profound loss felt by the family.

Kennedy, who had relocated to Florida following the passing of her husband a few years ago, had made arrangements for a double burial plot in New York so that they could be laid to rest together. Smith emphasized her mother's remarkable character and the deep impact she had on their lives.

'My mom will be missed incredibly, forever. This will leave a deep, deep hole in the hearts of us kids and her grandchildren,' Smith said. 'I will be lost without her for the rest of my life.'

Reflecting on Kennedy's life and legacy, Smith expressed the desire for others to recognize the exceptional person her mother was and the importance of reuniting her with her late husband in their final resting place.
