Up to 65 jobs will be created at the new B&M store at Nottingham's Castle Marina Retail Park.
The new shop is set to open at the retail park, off Castle Bridge Road, on April 13.
It will take up the units 2-4, replacing Ultimate Outdoors which shut after holding a closing down sale in January.
The new store is referred to as a 'B&M Home Store with Garden Centre' on the company's site.
It will sell items including alcohol, laminate flooring, paint, vinyl flooring and wallpaper.
In a proposal for a near five-metre tall enclosure for its garden centre, submitted to Nottingham City Council on February 9, the retailer said 65 full-time job positions would be created by the store.
A spokesperson for B&M had previously told Nottinghamshire Live that the company was always looking for new locations, but they could not confirm whether there were plans to open at the former Ultimate Outdoors site.
The retail park also hosts well known brands like DFS, Curry's PC World and Pets and Home.
