A 63-year-old man has died following a horrific crash in the early hours of this morning.
Brediland Road in Paisley remains closed as police remain on site trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
The incident involved a pedestrian and car, with a badly damaged Mercedes pictured at the scene, the Paisley Daily Express reports.

Police are urging the public to avoid the area and confirmed they have arrested another man in connection with the incident.
In a statement published earlier today, a spokesman said: "Due to a serious crash on Brediland Road, Paisley, the road is currently closed and diversions are in place. Please avoid the area."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.20am on Sunday, November 27, officers were called to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 63-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."
