6-year-old girl lived inside a jail with her father, until an IAS officer asked her one question that opened the door to a new life

A routine visit to a prison turned into a life-changing moment for a little girl when an IAS officer noticed her playing among inmates at Bilaspur Central Jail. Six-year-old Khushi had spent much of her childhood inside the prison, but one simple question from the officer gave her the chance to imagine a very different future.

Khushi's story, reported by The Better India, shows how much a child's life can be shaped by circumstances they never chose. It also shows how one person taking notice, listening and stepping in can give a child an opportunity they may never have had otherwise.
