6 Things to Know About Actress, Singer and Latest SKIMS Campaign Star Sabrina Carpenter

Although there are plenty of Gen Z stars making their mark, Sabrina Carpenter is on the brink of a Hollywood takeover following her modeling debut as a muse for SKIMS' latest spring intimates collection. In the 90s-themed campaign, which nods to the current coquette aesthetic, the singer appears in sultry, pastel-colored pieces from the brand's Stretch Lace and Fits Everybody collections, including the Stretch Lace Babydoll Top, Stretch Lace Brief, Fits Everybody Triangle Bralette and Fits Everybody Brief.

While she's responsible for hits like "Nonsense" and "Skinny Dipping," Carpenter first entered the public eye after playing a lead role on Disney Channel's Girl Meets World. Since then, she's enjoyed a progressive rise into the limelight and earned many titles along the way — singer, songwriter, actress and even fragrance connoisseur with the launch of Sweet Tooth last year.

Carpenter's ensembles in the SKIMS' promotional rollout are also reflective of her Bratz-inspired style, which is no matter to gloss over. Styled by Jason Bolden, the "Feather" artist has appeared in various looks that effortlessly nail trends while maintaining individuality, including the sheer, snakeskin Tory Burch dress at this year's Vanity Fair Oscar Party and her corset-centered outfits on tour.

In her tender 24 years, Carpenter has amassed an impact that's pretty hard to ignore. Between opening for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour, headlining her own tour, being named Variety's Rising Star of 2023 and her pending performance at Coachella, it's safe to say the singer is well on her way to superstar status.

Although Carpenter's journey is far from over, we've discovered a few interesting facts about the pop princess. Keep scrolling for six things you probably didn't know about the "Emails I Can't Send" singer.

1. She is officially dating Barry Keoghan.

After months of rumors, it was confirmed last month that Carpenter and the Saltburn star have been romantically linked since December 2023. Since then, they've flaunted their romance for the world to see, from the Oscars' after-party and date nights to his approval of her SKIMS campaign.

2. She signed her first record deal at 15 years old.

Before she achieved maximum stardom, Carpenter signed a five-album deal with Disney-owned label Hollywood Records, producing her first single, "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying."

3. She's influenced by some of the most iconic singers.

Believe it or not, Carpenter has cited Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Rihanna as her biggest musical influences. She's also gleaned from Christina Aguilera stating "Beautiful" as a source of inspiration for what she could do to showcase and develop her own voice.

4. She was homeschooled.

Having been a Disney Channel child star, Carpenter was homeschooled alongside her three sisters.

5. She was a Broadway star.

Before her breakthrough in music, the songstress became comfortable with the stage by playing Cady Heron in the musical version of Mean Girls in 2020.

6. Her fans are called Carpenters.

While Ariana Grande has the Arianators, Carpenter has a dedicated community of fans known as Carpenters.
