February is that odd time between the holidays and the warm summer months and this is good news for Target shoppers. Target temporarily marks down a lot of items during this month as they prepare inventory for the rest of the year.
Experts shared the best budget-friendly deals below to get at Target during February.
Also here are the best new items at Target right now.
Baby Gear
Syeda Sultana is the chief operating officer at Vettted, a specialized SEO platform. Her work has made her well-versed in forecasting sales cycles and clearance patterns — and she’s found that February is a smart month to shop for baby items.
“Target starts marking down baby gear around Feb. 21. Car seats, strollers and travel systems are available for 15% to 50% off through early March.”
As an example, shoppers can save $77 on the Acekool two-in-one infant stroller right now.

Toys That Were Popular During the Holidays
Keeping on the theme of shopping for little ones, Gary Gray, personal finance advisor and founder of CouponChief, said you can see the must-have toys of the previous holiday season on sale for very low prices.
For example, the Kinetic Sand construction kit is selling for just $4.24 at Target.
“Toys such as this often have a seasonal appeal and are frequently rotated in and out of stock by retailers based on seasonal trends. Therefore, toys like this are often placed on clearance soon after major holiday shopping periods to make room for new toys,” Gray added.
Holiday Beauty Items
Just because they have a holiday buzzword in the name doesn’t mean you can’t use seasonal beauty items all year long. Gray said any holiday-themed self-care items are sure to be on sale, like eos holiday body lotion in caramel cashmere, which is on sale at Target for $8.49 right now.
“The price of the eos lotion has been marked down approximately 15% off the retail price of the lotion, due to the typical end-of-season price reduction on holiday products,” Gray said.
Winter Accessories and Clothing
In certain parts of the country, it’s starting to warm up in February, so this is the first month that Target typically starts reducing the price of winter clothes.
“Fashionable clothes sell better in cold weather,” explained Suvrangsou Das, co-founder and CEO of EasyPR LLC. “Fabric oversellers, such as heavy sweaters, puffer jackets, scarves, gloves, winter boots and kids snow clothes, traditionally experience 30% to 70% reductions since spring collections have to be on the floor before March.”
For instance, need a stylish new jacket? Snag this short faux fur jacket for almost $20 off.
Electronics With New Models
Gray pointed out that if you’re not set on having the latest model of certain gadgets, you can get a great deal at Target.
“The Beats Fit Pro true wireless Bluetooth earbuds are currently priced at $169.99 ($30 off the original price of $199.99) and are labeled as ‘clearance.’ Clearance pricing usually occurs due to new model releases, the end of seasonal promotions or the retailer’s desire to reduce excess inventory levels,” Gray explained.
Items Associated With New Year’s Resolutions
Das said the workout items that might have been expensive in January to prepare for resolutions will be getting marked down or returned in February.
“Yoga mats, resistance bands, little weights, planners and storage bins perish after the resolution buying buzz,” Das added.
As an example, check out this Yaheetech adjustable dumbbell set selling for 38% off at Target.
