£6 Primark foundation that's 'extremely similar' to £39 NARS version

Primark has released a foundation that is meant to be very similar to a popular makeup brand.

We all love treating ourselves to new makeup and this Primark foundation could be the perfect treat and it doesn’t break the bank. Primark, which is hugely popular in Liverpool, has become known for its designer dupes in recent years, often selling alternative versions to high-end products for much less.

The foundation was shared to @dupeshopbeauty‘s 204k Instagram followers yesterday and has racked up thousands of likes by excited shoppers. The account shares their findings of different dupe items within the beauty industry.

The post shows the Primark My Perfect Colour Illuminating Foundation next to the NARS Light Reflecting Skin Care Foundation. The Instagram post says: "The finish of both foundations is extremely similar but the Nars gives a slightly dewier finish."

The Primark product description read: “Find your perfect colour with our My Perfect Colour Foundation. Available in a large choice of colours, this illuminating foundation will blend beautifully into your skin, all while giving you a luminous finish. Infused with wild pansy for its soothing effects, and a hint of rose extract too, this foundation won't only compliment your skin's appearance, but help it feel better too, while the light SPF makes it a great everyday option!”

The two foundations look extremely similar in aesthetic appearance, both being in a rectangular glass bottle. The Primark foundation is available in sixteen different shades.

The Primark My Perfect Colour Illuminating Foundation is priced at £6 whereas the NARS Light Reflecting Skin Care Foundation would set you back £38. This means you would save £32 if you opted for the Primark dupe.

Many excited shoppers were quick to comment on the Instagram post as one said: “You make me spend less and your dupes are on point” while another added: “Can vouch that the primark foundation is really good!”
