The grades are in and there were several players who stood out in a big way for the Raiders in Week 2 of the preseason. The most impressive player was again QB Aidan O’Connell, who somehow looked even better this week than he did in Week 1. He looked confident, poised, and accurate against the Rams, throwing two second-half touchdowns.
But who else impressed against the Rams in Week 2 of the preseason? Here are the six highest-graded players for the Raiders from Saturday via Pro Football Focus:
1. LB Curtis Bolton – 90.6
2. QB Aidan O’Connell – 90.1
3. FS Roderic Teamer – 85.0
4, OG Greg Van Roten – 82.8
5. RT Jermaine Eluemunor – 81.0
6. SS Isaiah Pola-Mao – 80.2
Bolton and Teamer played 16 snaps a piece on Saturday, but both made a big impact in their limited time on the field. The more impressive numbers here are from Van Roten and Eluemunor as the starting offensive line did a fantastic job holding off the pass rush of the Rams
It’s also worth noting that Alex Bars and Thayer Munford graded in the 70s, according to PFF. It appears the Raiders finally have some offensive line depth and the unit as a whole is improved compared to where they were in the preseason last year.
