The Cleveland Browns fell short of Super Bowl LVIII this season, but they have some former players and coaches like Kyle Shanahan and Tashaun Gipson Sr. who will be participating in the festivities as the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers take the field.
Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for the Browns in 2014, when quarterback Brian Hoyer and company jumped out to 7-3 record that year before plummeting back down to earth. Gipson Sr. was on that team as well, suiting up for the Browns at free safety from 2012 through 2015. He picked off a total of 14 passes, including 11 from 2013-2014 (making the Pro Bowl in 2014) while wearing the brown and orange.
Who else participating in today’s game has ties to the Browns?
There is not a single player or coach on the Chiefs that has any ties to the Browns. Here are six coaches and players who have spent time in Cleveland at some point throughout their careers in the NFL.
