6-foot burning cross discovered in downtown Chicago sparking fears of hate crime

Police in Chicago are investigating how a 6-foot burning cross came to be in a park in the downtown section of the city on Tuesday.

A viral video taken by a driver showed the cross, long associated with the terrorist organization the Ku Klux Klan, engulfed in Grant Park on the shores of Lake Michigan. The Chicago Fire Department later confirmed that they extinguished the cross.
