Planning your September nails? These are the 9 chic and cosy shades to carry you through the month

When August ends, it feels slightly wrong to keep sporting sunny shades but also entirely too soon to dust off our darkest autumn and winter shades. Thus, aiming for something in between the two is key with your September nails.

So far, the 2026 nail trends have done well to guide us through each season's must-have manis, but as we approach that inbetween-y stage between summer and autumn - where we've hit the first of the 'ber' months but the weather is still mild - it can be tough to decide on the perfect colour to tide you over. Personally, we're keen to jump straight on the autumn nail trends, but if you're not quite there yet, there are several timeless and more subtle intermediary hues to opt for. Cool, taupe-y browns, for instance, and coconut cream nail shades will easily complement your transitional wardrobe, as will a classic cherry red.
