The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 of the 2022 season. Baltimore is currently 3-3 after losing to the New York Giants in Week 6, while Cleveland is 2-4 after suffering a defeat to the New England Patriots.
There are plenty of storylines to watch for in the contest, including which team can pull out a win against an AFC North opponent in a division that’s been struggling so far this year. The Ravens can maintain their lead in the division with a victory due to holding the tiebreaker over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
Below we look at six bold predictions for Baltimore’s Week 7 matchup with Cleveland.
RB Gus Edwards scores 2+ touchdowns
Edwards will be making his return to the field for the first time in 646 days, and with J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve, could see more playing time than anticipated in his first game back. While it’s likely that the former Rutgers star is on some sort of pitch count, he can be used in short yardage situations in a pinch, which could result in goal line touches.

Ravens rush for over 250 yards
Baltimore has become one of the more dominant rushing offenses in the league over the last few seasons. Heading into Week 7, the Ravens rank sixth in rushing with 934 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, the Cleveland defense ranks 24th in rushing yards given up through the first six weeks with 789. Even with J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve and Gus Edwards likely to be limited in his first game back, Baltimore could be in for a big day on the ground.

QB Lamar Jackson gets back on track in a big way
With wide receiver Rashod Bateman back this week, the offense starts to roll again. Jackson throws three touchdown passes, one to Bateman, one to Devin Duvernay, and one to James Proche. Jackson has slowed down after a hot start to the 2022 season, but he could get back on track in a big way in Week 7.

ILB Patrick Queen notches pick-six
Queen was able to get his hands on a Joe Burrow pass and bring it in during the team’s Week 5 win against the Bengals after dropping an interception in both Week 3 and Week 4. The third-year linebacker finds himself around the football more often than not, and could make a big play in Week 7.

Ravens hold RB Nick Chubb to under 60 rushing yards
The Ravens’ defense is tied for the seventh in fewest rushing yards given up. Meanwhile, Chubb had the most rushing yards through the first six weeks with 649. Something will need to give and with Cleveland looking like they will need to play catchup, Chubb will have fewer opportunities for big runs.

S Kyle Hamilton has first-career NFL interception
Hamilton has been seeing solid playing time over the course of the 2022 season. While he has shown both good and bad, the rookie keeps playing better week after week. An interception would go a long way to continue boosting his confidence, especially heading into a Thursday night tilt with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8.
