6,000 women to take part in women's race in Mumbai

MUMBAI: After a hiatus of nearly two years, running feet will once again pound Mumbai's streets, when the 'Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon' Pink Run for women will be flagged off at 7.30 am on Sunday, February 27, and run on the iconic Marine Drive, heralding the resurgence of running in the city.

Around 6000 participants are expected to stand tall and make a symbolic statement of fighting for justice and their dignity when they line up for the Pink Run. The event will be organized by the vastly experienced team of YouTooCanRun, led by P Venkatraman and will adhere to the highest professional standards, strictly following all Covid protocols.

The opening of registrations for the Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon Pink Run met with an enthusiastic response from the female running fraternity in Mumbai and its surrounding areas and in all probability will see a full house on Race Day. The registration fee is a minimal Rs 18, signifying the voting age in the country, and all participants will be provided with a T shirt, Finisher's Medal, Digital Certificate and sumptuous breakfast after the race.
