5th annual UK Curiosity Fair set for November 1

For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Kentucky will hold a curiosity fair. The November 1st event is free and open to people of all ages. Nicole Keenan is a co-adviser for this year’s fair, which will have at least two dozen stations to visit. She said each station’s visitor becomes part of the exhibit.

“There are things where our students and colleagues across campus as well as community members can interact with arts and science and anything in between.”

Keenan said many of the visitors will be present and future UK students, who may discover a new passion.

“This is such a fun event for people who are involved. And also the students that have come have actually even opened their minds to different majors, and things that they can do within their careers.”

Keenan said many of the arts, science and other exhibits are interactive – including the Curious Critters station, where you can learn about and even pick up an insect. UK’s Curiosity Fair takes place Wednesday, November 1st, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gatton Student Center Ballroom.
