5ive's Scott Robinson unrecognisable 20 years after band's split

Scott Robinson shot to fame as part of chart-topping British boy band 5ive - but he looks very different now.

Back when the band formed in the Nineties, Scott was known for his clean-shaven boyish good looks and trademark spiky hair.

But these days the 42-year-old is rocking a full salt and pepper beard and has tattooed sleeves on both arms.

Fans may struggle to recognise the pop star when he goes on tour with Sean and Ritchie later this year.

The band got back together in 2021 and released their first music in 20 years. Their latest album, Time, dropped on Spotify at the end of January.

But this time round bandmates Abs and J have decided not to take part in the line up.

Despite 5ive going their separate ways two decades ago in 2001, Scott has stayed in the showbiz industry.

He was signed up to present The Big Drive Home afternoon show on Radio Essex.

The Essex-born star has also been happily married to wife Kerry Oaker for 20 years.

Scott and Kerry tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony the day after the 5ive split up.

The couple, who still live in Essex, are now parents to four children, sons Brennan, 20, and Kavan, 15, and eight-year-old twin girls Bobbi-Raye and Kayde-Rose.

In a recent Valentine’s Day tribute to Kerry, Scott shared a series of romantic throwback snaps of them together.

He also revealed the couple had just celebrated 24 years together, after meeting in around 1997.

He captioned the post: “Happy Valentine's Day @kerry_robinson83 this is valentines 24.

“I don't know how you have put up with me for all these years. I love you as much today as I did back then, you are my everything.”

Scott recently opened up about his time in 5ive revealing his fame had a dark side.

He said his rift with bandmate Jason ‘J’ Brown caused him to go "more and more" into himself.

The pop star found it "very difficult" because he felt his "older and stronger" bandmate got everything his way.

Scott was sad he changed from being the "chatty one" in interviews.

In the lead up to the split, he said he was reduced to tears at the prospect of having to do a photoshoot with the band.

“At the start, I'd be the chatty one, answering all the questions,” he told New magazine.

“Then, if you look at footage of me two years in, I'm just sitting in the back with a cap on, thinking, "If you want the limelight, you take it".

"Towards the very end, I'd cry before I had to go and do a photoshoot."

At the height of their fame 5ive were one of the best-selling boy bands in the UK, selling 1.6 million albums.

Before finding fame as a comedian, Russell Brand even auditioned for a spot in the band.

Scott will go on a mini tour of the UK later this year with 5ive band mates Sean and Ritchie.
