Around 52 equity mutual funds have delivered absolute returns of more than 100% over the past five years, an analysis by ETMutualFunds showed. A total of 212 equity funds were in existence during the period, and all of them generated double-digit returns, with the lowest return exceeding 29%.
The top four performers were mid-cap funds. Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund, which topped the list, delivered an absolute return of 169.84% over the past five years. HDFC Mid-Cap Fund, the largest mid-cap fund by assets under management (AUM), delivered an absolute return of 146.21% during the same period.
