One of the UK's "most exciting openings" for 2023 has started a recruitment programme with more than 50 jobs on offer.
Ad Gefrin was named alongside three other new Northumberland attractions as the best things to do in the UK in 2023. And now it has opened recruitment for more than fifty jobs to help bring the county's newest museum and first ever whisky distillery to life.
There will be full, part time and casual roles available in visitor engagement and guiding, catering, retailing, maintenance and grounds keeping. Employers are looking for a "very special quality" in the people they choose and are urging anyone interested in working as a member of the Ad Gefrin "family" to apply.

Chris Ferguson, director of experience, said: "In every role we’re offering here we’re looking for people who share that passion and who can create an extraordinary experience for our visitors. When we find them, we’ll provide our successful applicants with a comprehensive training programme to enable them to fulfil their potential as a fully-fledged member of the Ad Gefrin family.""
Named after the royal Anglo Saxon palace excavated at Yeavering, just a mile from Wooler, the Ferguson family hope that Ad Gefrin Museum and Distillery will write an exciting new chapter in the history of the town and its community. In an area that offers limited new job opportunities, Chris has urged local people to become involved in this venture.
He finished: "We hope that the local community will be as proud of what we are creating as they are of the history it is based on, and that many will be involved at the heart of what we do. No matter what role they play in the Ad Gefrin story, we want as many people from the community as possible to help us give visitors from all over the world a traditional Northumbrian welcome, just as they did over 1,400 years ago."
The deadline for job applications at Ad Gefrin closes on Sunday January 8 at 2023. For more information, visit the website or email a CV to work@adgefrin.co.uk.
