5-Year-Old Girl Shot In Head By Israeli Soldiers In Gaza

Funeral for six year old Muslim stabbing victim Wadea Al-Fayoume in Illinois

On Sunday, chaos erupted in northern Gaza as thousands of Palestinians were denied entry to their homes. Amid the turmoil, a tragic incident unfolded when a 5-year-old girl named Sally Abu Laila was shot in the head by Israeli soldiers, according to her mother.

A heart-wrenching video captured the moment when Sally, bleeding from her head, was carried by a man through a crowd of panicked onlookers attempting to shield her wound.

Sally's mother, Sabreen, recounted the harrowing experience, stating that she was holding her daughter when the Israeli soldiers opened fire. Sabreen, accompanied by her four children, was trying to pass through a checkpoint when two young men pushed their way through the line, prompting the soldiers to shoot.

Describing the ordeal, Sabreen said, 'I tried to place my daughter on the ground to walk, but she couldn't move. I saw my hands covered in blood. I called out to her, but she didn't respond.'

Eventually, Sabreen managed to transport Sally to Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital, where the young girl is currently receiving intensive care.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) refuted claims that individuals could return to their residences in northern Gaza, emphasizing that the area remains an active war zone where entry is prohibited.

This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing tensions and violence in the region, highlighting the urgent need for peace and stability for all inhabitants of Gaza.
