The 2024 presidential election campaign has been preoccupied with concerns about President Joe Biden’s age and cognitive sharpness.
The Democratic Party seemed to pay no heed to the concerns until President Biden’s worrying performance at the presidential debate led to calls for Biden to step aside.
And this time around, these calls are coming from his own party.
While Biden doesn’t seem to be planning on dropping out of the 2024 election, it hasn’t stopped people from suggesting the names of potential replacements.
But with so many old white men leading the race, we think it might be time for a woman to take the reigns.
Below, find five women we think could replace Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
Vice President Kamala Harris
As current vice president, Kamala Harris is an obvious replacement for Biden.
Harris is not only the first female vice president but the first Black American and South Asian American in the role. Replacing Biden could see her become the first female and black female president.
As a strong fighter for women’s rights and racial equality, Harris would be hopeful candidate for America.
Unfortunately, the republicans have also made it clear that they would like to see Kamala Harris replace Biden because they believe her campaign would go just as badly.
Gretchen Whitmer
Gretchen Whitmer is a female governor from from Michigan, which is an important state for the Democrats to hold onto considering its a Midwestern swing state.
Being highly experienced and boasting an approval rating of between 54 and 61 per cent in Michigan, Whitmer is a strong alternative for the party.
Amy Klobuchar
Amy Klobuchar is a senator from Minnesota who’s name has been thrown about as a potential Biden replacement.
With a strong electoral track record, she’s also a very likeable candidate who would appeal to a good majority.
The only issue is that Klobuchar is still relatively unknown on a national level for her to get to Biden’s position.
Maybe next election.
Michelle Obama

According to a 2023 YouGov poll, Michelle is the most popular first lady of all time in America.
