Ready-to-wear brand, L’AGENCE is know and loved for its elevated basics, from luxe denim to silky jewel toned slip dresses and sharp tailoring, and for Fall 2022, expect its signature look with a touch of dark romance, as the collection is titled.
The line, which was presented last month at The Bowery Terrace within The Bowery Hotel during New York Fashion Week, offers popular silhouettes that plays on the romance and darkness of fall, communicated via cuts and materials — think sumptuous velvet, lurex, and sequins in seasonal hues of black, greens and tonal reds from dark to bright berry. Expect a sense of opulence too, thanks to the abundance of silk and velvet along with the metallic and sand-washed leathers.

Vibe: For F/W ‘22, the L’AGENCE collection embraces a darker side while evoking elements of modern romance. Through the use of rich materials including velvet, lurex, and sequins in jewel tones, the seasonal range is feminine with an air of luxury, while staying true to the emblematic silhouettes and prints that have become brand signatures. The pièces de résistance include a black blazer heavily embellished with crystals at the shoulders, silk velvet suiting in red dahlia, jeans with an amplified flare, and plaid blazers styled sans blouse. Namesake outerwear and shoes completed the looks. The glamorous backdrop of NYC’s iconic Bowery Hotel assisted in bringing the story to life.
Fabrics: Materials highlights from F/W ‘22 include yarn-dyed pinstripes with lurex, a sharp, exaggerated houndstooth presented in a cape coat, Glen plaid suiting with a chromatic twist, and super-luxe leather and suede in metallic surface. Rounding out the collection are exotic croc and snake patterns, rich velvet paisleys, as well as florals and stripes in vintage-inspired burnouts. Delicate lace separates and beautifully crafted slinky knit gowns bring a feminine edge that showcases the fabrics. Signature silk essentials and directional denim continue to surprise with unexpected prints and colors, skilfully executed washes and coating treatments, and the introduction of our impossibly luxurious cashmere denim.
Silhouettes and details: Statement silhouettes are defined by flared fits and split hem details on trousers and jeans. Cutouts and exposed shoulder details are meticulously placed to show a bit of skin in an unconventional way. Iconic silk slip dresses in vibrant prints and color blocked designs alongside three-piece suiting in perfectly tailored pinstripes bring the collection full circle.
Prints: Prints are an integral part of our sartorial lexicon. Romantic roses, modern-classic paisley in autumnal hues juxtaposed against leopard and snake prints in unexpected electric yellow and green create a compelling visual narrative. Hypnotic tie dye print in teal and chartreuse feel unpredictably elevated. Of course, the collection would not be complete without the inclusion of signature chain prints, made modern for the season in a combination of shaded champagne and midnight blue.
Colors: Saturated jewel tones in crimson, teal, and clover green are grounded by neutral earth tones in soft camel, nubuck brown, and chocolate. Vivid pops of English ivy green and marigold yellow bring punch to the palette.
