After a week in the Lone Star State, the PGA Tour is in Dublin, Ohio, for the 2023 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village.
The field is loaded and features the top five players in the Official World Golf Ranking: Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.
Scheffler enters as the betting favorite at +600 followed by Rahm at +750 and Cantlay — who’s a two-time Memorial champion — at +1000.
Billy Horschel is the defending champion thanks to his four-shot win over Aaron Wise last season.
There are a few players taking the week off, including Tony Finau and Max Homa. Players are allowed to miss one designated event this season.
Here are five prop bets and position plays for the 2023 Memorial Tournament.

Viktor Hovland, Adam Scott and Si Woo Kim to finish inside top 20 (+1400)
Hovland tied for second at the PGA Championship and for 16th at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Scott has two top 10s in his last three starts and finished second at the Memorial in 2019. Kim has finished 18th or better in three straight trips to Muirfield.
Rory McIlroy or Xander Schauffele to win (+550)
McIlroy has finished 18th the last two seasons at the Memorial and is coming off a top 10 at the PGA Championship. Schauffele has four straight top-20 finishes at Muirfield and hasn’t finished outside the top 20 of a PGA Tour event since the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.
Jason Day to finish inside top 20 (+110)
Day has finished 31st and 4th in his last two appearances at the Memorial. He missed the cut at the PGA Championship a week after winning the AT&T Byron Nelson, but with some rest should be good to go in Ohio. Day lives in Forest Lake, so this week is a bit of a home game for the Aussie.
Corey Conners to finish as top Canadian (+150)
Conners tied for eighth at the Wells Fargo Championship and for 12th at the PGA Championship. He finished 13th at Muirfield last season and 22nd in 2020.
Scottie Scheffler to finish as top American (+400)
Scheffler has separated himself as the best ball striker in the world. He ranks 1st in Strokes Gained: Total, Tee to Green and Off the Tee. He’s second in SG: Approach. The difference for the Texan is the putter. He ranks 114th in SG: Putting this season.
Scheffler finished third at the 2021 Memorial and is coming off three straight top 5s.
If he makes putts in Ohio, he’ll probably win.
