England's under-19s sealed a dramatic win in the final of the European Championships on Friday, coming from behind to record a 3-1 victory over Israel.
Ian Foster's side had won all of their games en route to the final, including a group stage victory over Israel. However, after an impressive first-half performance in Trnava, it was Israel who established a half-time lead.
But Foster's team roared back and levelled the game up to take it to an extra 30 minutes where they then scored a further two goals to seal a healthy margin of victory. The success is the second time in five years England have won the competition following victory for the class of 2017.
Here, Mirror Football looks at a handful of the players involved in the latest win and assesses how loan moves into the EFL next season may aid their career development.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy (Arsenal)
Defender Norton-Cuffy, 18, switched from Chelsea to Arsenal six years ago and is highly-rated within the Gunners' set-up.
He was involved in all of the group matches, started in the semi-final and came off the bench in the final. He offers an attacking outlet on the right-hand side and caught the eye during a loan spell in the second half of last season with League One Lincoln. A temporary switch to the Championship looks the next logical step.
Callum Doyle (Man City)
Defender Doyle scored the vital equaliser against Israel which set the tone for the impressive comeback win.
The towering centre-half is only 18 but enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last time out, helping Sunderland win promotion out of League One. He featured 44 times and came on as a substitute in their play-off final win over Wycombe.
He has been linked with a return to Wearside next season but after his England heroics there is likely to be competition for his signature.
Harvey Vale (Chelsea)
Midfielder Vale captained England to glory and helped set up the winning goal in the showpiece final.
It was a fitting end to a memorable, breakthrough campaign for the 18-year-old. Last term saw him make five senior appearances for Thomas Tuchel's side.
He would certainly benefit from regular football at a second tier club and many have likened him to current Blues' star Mason Mount, who like Vale played a key role in helping his country win the under-19 Euros back in 2017. Vale's Chelsea deal has only a year to run but the expectation is he'll extend it and possibly head out on loan.
Carney Chukwuemeka (Aston Villa)
The Villa midfielder scored the second goal in the final - an unorthodox finish with his chest from a few yards out.
It capped a fine tournament for the 18-year-old after three goals and two assists. Chukwuemeka featured 14 times for Steven Gerrard's side last season but despite his exposure to the first team, a temporary spell away at a Championship side looks ideal right now as he looks to push on.
Dane Scarlett (Tottenham)
Spurs' striker Scarlett was once dubbed 'phenomenal' by Jose Mourinho - high praise indeed for a teenager. He played 105 minutes in the final and featured seven times for Antonio Conte's side last term.
With Richarlison only adding to Tottenham's raft of forwards next season the 18-year-old may be best served by going out on loan - and plenty of Championship sides have been linked with a summer swoop.
