Let’s start this off by tempering expectations: Chet Holmgren was amazing in his NBA Summer League debut.
That means he obviously wasn’t playing against the top competition he’ll face this fall.
But what we saw was exactly why the Oklahoma City Thunder made him the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, without concerns about his weight that everyone’s talked about while he was emerging as a force out of Gonzaga.
He showed off some amazing skills on both ends of the floor was perfect from inside the arc, nailed four threes and blocked six shots while also handing out four dimes.
