Letting go can be one of the hardest things to do. Sometimes you know that a person is no longer good for your peace, but you still think about them. You may check your phone hoping for a message, remember old conversations or keep asking yourself what went wrong. The Bhagavad Gita looks at this kind of attachment in a different way. Lord Krishna does not tell Arjuna to stop caring about people or become emotionless. Instead, he teaches him how to stay calm and do what is right without allowing emotions and expectations to take over his mind. These teachings can still be meaningful today, especially when we are dealing with relationships, disappointment and situations that we cannot control.
