With its long, cold nights and hibernating airs, the winter season is pretty much tailor-made for movie marathons, especially when a blizzard is raging outside. Yes, the United States got a very snowy visit from Winter Storm Fern this weekend, with much of the country waking up to several feet of snow that no doubt put to rest any plans of venturing outside for the next few days.
Given that Mother Nature has all but forced us to take residence on our couches, it would seem foolish not to take advantage of the snow-in by watching some great on-theme Netflix movies. We here at Tom's Guide have selected five streaming titles that thrive in the cold, from classic wintertime comedies to frost-bitten survival dramas.
