The roll-out of 4G and 5G high-speed mobile coverage on the London Underground has reached the half-way stage – with the £1bn project due to be completed by the end of the year.
A total of 63 out of 121 stations – and many of the connecting tunnels - now have superfast connections, enabling passengers to send messages, stream videos and even make phone calls while onboard a Tube or waiting on a platform.
