The 49ers defense will have to survive without defensive end Nick Bosa, who was officially ruled out of Sunday’s game in Atlanta when he was listed among the team’s inactives.
Bosa started dealing with groin tightness before Week 5, and left at halftime of that game because of a groin issue. He had only a limited practice Friday and was listed as ‘questionable’ on the team’s Week 6 injury report.
Charles Omenihu, Drake Jackson and Kerry Hyder Jr. should all get more rotation with Bosa out.
Here’s the full list of inactives:
DE Nick Bosa (groin)
DL Arik Armstead (foot, ankle)
FS Jimmie Ward (hand)
LT Trent Williams (ankle)
TE Tyler Kroft (knee)
WR Danny Gray
Not listed is left guard Aaron Banks, who was questionable with a knee injury after having limited participations all week in practice. He’ll presumably get the start at left guard.
Gray was limited through part of the week with an illness, but practiced in full Friday.
