49ers announce 9 free agent signings to start 2024 offseason

The 49ers on Tuesday kicked off their 2024 offseason with nine free agent signings. All nine players ended the 2023 campaign on San Francisco’s practice squad, and they’ll have an opportunity to compete for the club’s 53-man roster for 2024.

San Francisco was able to add these players because they were on the practice squad to end the year. They can’t sign any players who were under contract in 2023 since their contracts won’t expire until the 2023 league year ends in mid-March.
