RAIPUR: In a heart-wrenching incident, a man attacked a minor girl (16) with a knife in Gudhiyari area of Chhattisgarh capital Raipur reportedly over some old monetary dispute. The girl was working in a grocery shop run by the accused during the Covid period.
When the girl asked for the money, the man in inebriated condition barged into her house and misbehaved with her family. As the girl prevented him from doing so, the accused attacked the girl with the knife. The girl sustained a cut in the side of her neck and managed to escape from home.
The accused, identified as Omkar Tiwari , 47, chased her on the road and dragged with her hair until the blood-soaked girl collapsed on the road and police reached the spot after receiving information from the public.
