Day one of Liverpool Comic Con has been a memorable one, with plenty of incredible cosplay costumes on show.
With massive queues outside the Exhibition Centre this morning, our ECHO photographer Colin Lane met lots of different cosplay characters and snapped plenty of pictures. From Star Wars Stormtroopers to a huge group of Red Dead Redemption cowboys, it's safe to say that attendees of Liverpool Comic Con have gone all out this year.
With one more day to go, the weekend is set to be jam-packed with celebrity guests, video gaming, training schools and more. From Vampire Diaries superstars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley returning for their second year, along with Chief Hopper, David Harbour and 'Papa' aka Matthew Modine from Stranger Things - there's plenty of big names to see.

The much-loved event is a highly anticipated one for comic book fans, sci-fi lovers and celebrity spotters, and is known for its display of extravagant costumes. During Comic Con, many visitors dress up as their favourite characters, with some costumes taking months to make.
Today we saw the likes of Mary Poppins, Pennywise the clown, Freddy Krueger, Captain Jack Sparrow and Spider-Man to name a few. Some attendees travelled hours for the event, with one man who came all the way from Newcastle upon Tyne.
Inside the exhibition centre saw props and set displays for popular franchises such as Stranger Things, including a set featuring iconic character Eleven. Throughout the day, fans were seen enjoying having photographs taken at many attractions such as training schools, video gaming, activities, displays, and more.
Our ECHO photographer Colin Lane has snapped all the best bits of the day, with more to come tomorrow. Here are our highlights.
