Injury blow ahead of West Ham
Nottingham Forest have suffered a potential major injury blow with the news Scott McKenna could miss their first home game of the season against West Ham.
The Scotland international picked up an unspecified knock in training this week and looks likely to miss the Premier League fixture at the City Ground on Sunday.
"He's picked up something in training unfortunately and is a big doubt. We'll give him every chance," head coach Steve Cooper said. "If he doesn't make it then it gives someone else a chance and we look forward to being the best we can be at the weekend."

Cooper delivers transfer update
Steve Cooper is not expecting any new arrivals to be in the Nottingham Forest squad to face West Ham United on Sunday.
The Reds are pushing hard to strengthen their squad further having brought in 12 new signings, with the Daily Telegraph reporting three more deals are close.
Midfielders Cheikhou Kouyate and Remo Freuler, as well as striker Emmanuel Dennis all look set to join in the coming days. However, Cooper does not expect any new additions to feature against the Hammers.
Dennis transfer ‘progressing’
Emmanuel Dennis' transfer to Nottingham Forest is "progressing", Watford boss Rob Edwards has said.
The striker was left out of the Watford squad for their game against Burnley on Friday evening amid reports that he is closing in on a move to the Forest . When asked about Dennis' absence before the match, Edwards delivered an update on the transfer.
Dennis could become Forest's 13th signing of the summer, though he could be number 14 with the arrival of Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler seemingly imminent. Head coach Steve Cooper will not be done there as he looks to bolster his squad, but Dennis will be an important addition to the strike force.
Forest ‘in talks’ over Chelsea transfer
Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in Tiemoue Bakayoko, with "talks ongoing" over a move for the Chelsea midfielder.
The 27-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge for around £40million in 2017 after playing a key role in Monaco’s triumph over PSG to claim the Ligue 1 title and becoming a France international. Bakayoko made 43 appearances for Chelsea under Antonio Conte in his debut but has subsequently spent his time away from the club.
Bakayoko was loaned to AC Milan in 2018, followed by a spell back at Monaco and a season with Napoli, before returning to the San Siro with Milan last summer. Currently halfway through a two-year loan deal with the Serie A champions, which includes an option to buy, Forest have been touted with an interest in the midfielder.
