Around £50,000 in cash, £400,000 worth of cigarettes and suspected drugs were seized by police after a stop check.
Officers also arrested two men after making the discovery on Tuesday, February 28. Police spotted a Vauxhall Vectra being driven erratically on Gorsey Lane, St Helens at around 8.40pm, after it was initially sighted on Helena Road.
The car was stopped and after a search a large quantity of suspected drugs was also seized. Two men at the scene were detained and arrested.

A search of a property later led to around £50,000 of cash and an estimated £400,000 of cigarettes being seized. A 29-year-old man, from Burtonwood, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving; possession of crack cocaine and cocaine with intent to supply and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
A second man, 33, of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply. Both men remained in custody for questioning by detectives this morning.
