Ethan 'Fifakill' Pink, one of the best Call of Duty players in the esports world, gave Mirror Gaming his top tips to get better at Warzone 2.
Even as a casual Warzone 2 player, it can be tough out there. While the game's skins tend to be cosmetic only, offering no pay-to-win avenue, Warzone 2 Season 3's Sinister Operator skin is taking a lot of flack for being pay-to-win on social media. And it may look mighty tempting to players struggling to improve their stats. If you've considered splashing the cash to tip the balance in your favour, put you wallet away!
Call of Duty pro player Fifakill is chockfull of tips to get better at Warzone 2. "I try and base my playstyle around 'what can go wrong?', and 'what can I do to prevent that going wrong?'," Fifakill told Mirror Gaming.
"Every time something goes wrong, I think of a way I can counter that. The more hours you play, the more things go wrong, so the more things you know how to fix and you get better at fixing them.
"I think that's something my chat have come to learn from me – my playstyle – they can apply to their own gameplay, even if they don't have the best gun skill. They can apply that to their own game and make themselves a much better player."
Here are Fifakill's top tips to improve your Warzone 2 game.
Backstab
"I've always had this maxim. A gunfight: if you're both standing out in the open and you're both of equal ability, it's going to be 50-50, it's a coin flip.
"So you want to do everything you can to try make that gunfight unfair, so one way you can do that is by shooting them in the back. If you're shooting them in the back your chances of dying are probably 1%.
Right place, right time
"That's just one major way, positioning yourself around the other players. So if you're in a building that has one entrance, you know that if you guard that entrance, you probably won't be shot in the back. So you're gonna have a pretty good chance of not dying.
Heads up
"If you're in a building you have windows, you have a head glitch, and if you were to say that whole fair gun fight that was 50-50; if I stand behind a cover and it's only this much of my head showing, than that gunfight goes from 50-50 to 90-10.
"There are times when they hit the headshots and you will die, but on average, you're gonna win way more gun fights than you'll lose that way.
Even the odds
"Always be thinking about how can you take a straight gun fight, which is 50-50, and turn that into odds in your favour.
"Whether you have height advantage, a head glitch, you stun grenade them so they're incapacitated – anything you can do to make that gun fight as unfair as possible for the other player."
Good luck!
