4 things to know about Dolphins-Patriots heading into Week 8

The Miami Dolphins are back at home, as they’re ready to host the New England Patriots on Sunday for a Week 8 matchup.

Miami’s entering this game coming off a tough loss, while the Patriots won last week. Both teams know each other rather well, as they meet twice each year.

The Dolphins are 61-55 all-time against the Patriots and are 11-16 since 2010. Miami is 8-5 at Hard Rock Stadium in that span.

In their matchup back in Week 2, the Dolphins won 24-17. Running back Raheem Mostert rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 6.7 yards per carry.

Injury concerns

Miami had 11 players who were limited in practice on Thursday, including wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, cornerbacks Xavien Howard, Kader Kohou, Jalen Ramsey and Nik Needham. Safety Jevon Holland is also in concussion protocol.

On top of that, left tackle Terron Armstead and left guard Isaiah Wynn are both on injured reserve.

New England is also having their share of injuries. Christian Gonzalez and Matthew Judon, arguably their two best defenders, are on injured reserve.

Christian Barmore, Trent Brown, Davon Godchaux, Hunter Henry, Jonathan Jones, Cole Strange, Josh Uche, Keion White and Deatrich Wise Jr. were among the Patriots’ key contributors who have been limited in practice this week.
