4 things to know about Dolphins-Eagles heading into Week 7

The Miami Dolphins are hitting the road again, as they head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening for a Week 7 matchup.

Mike McDaniel’s team is 5-1, having won their last two matchups against the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants. There’s been a lot made about the team’s strength of schedule so far, so a meeting with the Eagles will be huge for their resume and the confidence in the team.

Philadelphia suffered a shocking loss to the New York Jets last week, as quarterback Jalen Hurts threw three interceptions. They still have one of the best rosters in football, and which can and will create problems for their opponents including Miami.

The Dolphins are 9-6 all-time against the Eagles, and they’re 2-1 since 2010.

These two teams last met in 2019, Miami won 37-31 in a game where Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three touchdowns, hitting DeVante Parker twice and Mike Gesicki once.

Injury concerns

The Dolphins have placed left tackle Terron Armstead and runningback De’Von Achane on injured reserve in recent weeks, with both being big blows to the team.

Cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Kader Kohou as well as center Connor Williams have been limited in practice this week due to injuries.

For Philadelphia, cornerback Bradley Roby and safety Reed Blankenship have been held out of the first two days of practice. Offensive tackle Lane Johnson, defensive tackle Jalen Carter, tight end Dallas Goedert and wide receiver DeVonta Smith have been limited.
